New in X5: Washing Machine

NetBarrier X5 is now accompanied by a helper program called Washing Machine. This application includes some of the cleaning functions in previous versions of NetBarrier, but goes much further.

When you surf the web, or when you use other programs that access the Internet, these programs record where you go and what pages you browse. They store a number of files containing information about your browsing: Bookmarks, Caches, Cookies, Download Histories, and Browsing Histories.

Washing Machine cleans up these files. It works with most web browsers, and many utilities or other programs that store information behind your back. It even cleans up after some programs that you would never think are storing data. You can create cleanlists, and even smart cleanlists, and schedule cleaning operations, such as emptying your web browser’s cache files every day, or deleting your browsing history at the end of every week.

Washing Machine is included with NetBarrier X5, so not only can you have protection from hackers and vandals, but also a tool that cleans up all the traces left behind when you surf the web.
